New Monterey Colonial Style Home
This project included the demolition of an existing home, which was 95% recycled, and the construction of a new 3,200 square-foot home. Note the eave detail which consists of a 6” half round copper gutter, collector heads, a 4" round down spout, a milled rafter tail and a two-piece mission style roof. Hand steel trowel smooth color coat stucco with a stone vaneer. Interior finishings reflect excellent craftmanship, and many custom details. In the bathrooms, marble slab shower/bathwalls eliminate grout lines. The open floor plan with French doors and side lights brings the outside in, and provides for ease of indoor/outdoor living.
New French Country Style Home
This project involved the complete demolition of an existing house, and the construction of a new 3200 sq. foot two-story house. Key features of the project include steep angled roof pitches in the courtyard, a large open space floor plan, spacious kitchen, four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.
100-Year Old Home Remodel
This 100-year old home was considered by many to be a tear-down. Instead, we improved the foundation, leveled the floors, moved walls, and completely modified the floorplan to take advantage of the views. The kitchen was moved from one side of the house to the other, allowing for a much larger chef's kitchen. We combined the kitchen and family room to create an open floor plan. We installed FSC-certified doors and hardwood floors. A major green element of this remodel was choosing to remodel, rather than tear down. This gallery starts off with pictures of the new kitchen, and then includes before and after pictures.
Kitchen Remodel
This project included removing walls that enclosed the kitchen, and installing posts on either side of a new island to support the ceiling and roof load. Adding posts provided detail and was the economical way to open up the kitchen. Other options include installing steel beams to carry the ceiling and roof load which would eliminate the posts but add cost to the project. Depending on your taste and budget, both options are available. For the fireplace we removed the brick facing and faced the fire place with new marble and a new custom mantle. Note how the painted crown molding throughout the house ties in perfectly with the stained crown molding on the kitchen cabinets. The design and small details help to make a successful project!
Whole House Remodel
This project consisted of changing the flat roof into a pitched roof. We changed the windows, doors, moldings, kitchen, baths, floors, paintand landscaping. This face lift turned an old, out-of-date home into a new feeling home at a fraction of the cost of building new
Deck Project
This project included the demolition of a small existing deck, and the construction of a new wrap-around deck.
Rustic Bathroom Remodel
This bathoom has a old rustic feel with modern comforts. The tiled wanes cote is a unique detail and provides easy maintenance.
